QuestionIf NTU Library does not have a specific journal article, what should I do? How to apply for interlibrary services, such as “JADE”?
Answer

JADE, Journal Article Delivery Express, is a service for requesting western journal articles not held by NTU Libraries.

★ How to make a request?

  1. Please ensure the article is not held by NTU libraries by first checking the Library Catalog (SLIM).
  2. Connect to JADE, fill in the journal title in full (no abbreviations), publication year, volume number, page numbers, ISSN (if known), etc.

★ How do I receive the material?

  1. You will be notified by email when the requested item becomes available.
  2. Copies of journal articles will be kept in the library you selected (Main Library, Medical Library) for you to pick up.

★ Delivery Time

  1. Through JADE, most journal articles are received within 24 hours on a normal business day. The actual time varies according to where the material is located and how quickly that library or supplier responds.
  2. If the request can not be fulfilled through  JADE, library staff will contact you and transfer the request to other Document Delivery Services (such as British Library Document Supply Centre). It will take 2-4 weeks.

★ Cost

  1. NT$ 5 per page (according to the original article pages) supplied by JADE Service.
  2. NT$ 550 for each document supplied by British Library Document Supply Centre or other overseas libraries and suppliers.

★ More Information
